This course teaches participants about interpersonal communication styles and techniques. The course tackles special organizational functions and jobs to identify the best communication style suited for each of them. Organizational culture is also highlighted as an important factor affecting communication pattern of employees. The main purpose of this course is to help participants to acquire the skills, knowledge & attitudes required to effectively communicate with others through a group of practice activities & case studies.
Objectives :
Learning how to ask and answer questions, use nonverbal communication, give feedback, and empower employees.
Learning how to communicate with individuals who hold different positions in an organization, such as peers, supervisors, subordinates, and customers/vendors.
Learning how to promote ideas, handle negotiations, and deal with human resource issues.
Identifying an organization's culture, and discussing how communication can perpetuate a culture, defining a cultural network, and explore ways to take advantage of a cultural network.
