Dear Khalid Alsuwaid,
Thank you for pursuing your education at Dallas County Community
College District.
As a new student (or returning to DCCCD after a break in enrollment),
we want to be sure you know about an important money matter: how we
disburse financial aid and other kinds of funds, issue refunds and
pay money we may owe you in the future.
DCCCD partners with Higher One, a financial services company. Higher
One processes and distributes disbursements and refunds to credit and
financial aid students.
Whether or not you have received a
disbursement/refund in the past, you must tell us how you want us to
send your disbursement/refunds -- If you don't, you won't be able to
receive money that is owed to you from DCCCD.
There are two things all DCCCD students must do:
1) Visit https://eConnect.dcccd.edu/moneycard as soon as possible to
confirm your mailing and e-mail address (login required). This is
the only way to ensure that you receive your DCCCD Money Card in the
mail. The card is required to access the DCCCD Money Card web site,
where you will choose how to receive your disbursements/refunds.
(Note: If you are viewing this e-mail through eConnect's "My
Messages" feature, you must return to the "Credit Student Menu" to
access the "DCCCD Money Card Address Verification" feature. To do
so, click on the "Return to Student Menu" button at the bottom of
the page.)
If your address is not correct, visit your college registrar to
update your contact information. After the registrar has processed
your update, you must go back to eConnect (step 1 above) and complete
the DCCCD Money Card address verification process.
2) Use the DCCCD Money Card you receive in the mail to select your
disbursement/refund preference. DON'T THROW IT AWAY!!!
The card and the enclosed information will tell you how to choose
your disbursement/refund preference.
To learn more about your disbursement/refund options, visit:
http://www.dcccd.edu/moneycard
(Note: If you are viewing this e-mail through eConnect's "My
Messages" feature, please copy and paste the above URL into your
browser, to access this site.)
If you still have questions about the DCCCD Money Card, contact your
campus Business Office, Financial Aid Office, or Registrar's Office.
They will be glad to help.
Sincerely,
DCCCD General Accounting Department
