Q: What video program do my humans use for my videos?
A: Initially my footage is put through Sony Movie Studio, since the video camera my humans currently use is a Sony HXR-NX70U (the mic is a Shure SM93). My adult male human has this software on his PC; he does the initial edit (sometimes with input from the adult female), then renders the video, and puts it on a shared drive for her to look at. Once my adult female finds video she approves of (or has to settle for!), she uses Microsoft Live Movie Maker to edit out bits as needed and add her crazy captions. (Captioning early on was done when possible; now the humans consider it mandatory for a number of reasons.) Finished videos are then uploaded to YouTube. Not necessarily sophisticated, but hey, it is what it is. It takes a lot of footage – not to mention “human time” - to get even just a minute or so of what you end up seeing. My humans wish they had more time to make videos for you, believe me!
