With current approaches, education for sustainability may never eventuate across the entire higher education sector - clearly a continuation of 'business as usual' is not a palatable option for the sector or society at large. In light of this reality, we have sought to develop a whole-of-system approach to implement systematic, intentional and timely curriculum renewal that is responsive to emerging challenges and opportunities, encompassing curriculum renewal and organisational change. This includes action at the level of the staff and at the level of the institution.
