About the Part-Time Labourer/Driver Role:
***This is a Part-time role. The details of the role ar e: Up to 29 hours, Monday-Sunday***
The primary focus of this position will be to service our valued customers through the door-to-door and donation box collection of used clothing and household items. While performing the duties of this job, the Part-Time Labourer/Driver is regularly required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, or crouch. The Labourers/Drivers is occasionally required to climb steps and balance.
Some of the highlights of the Part-Time Labourer/Driver role include:
Conduct daily unloads at Value Village, understand and know the OK system, fill and empty trucks into/ out of storage facilities as needed
Oversee and prepare all paperwork accurately along with daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly reports.
Produce and maintain excellent and accurate records as required.
Portray a positive and professional image to the public, co-workers and our corporate partners i.e. Value Village
Drive in a safe and defensive manner at all times, avoid careless errors at all costs
Complete all pickups; includes drop bins, household and other special picks ups
Care for the truck as required by Ryder and CDA, keep truck sightly at all times, keep it plugged in during cold weather, ensure proper paperwork and maintenance is reported and done at all times
Ensure adequate supply of promotional material and other supplies are kept in trucks, report all shortages to appropriate supervisor
Attend driver safety, training sessions and meetings when required
About You:
The selected incumbent for this Part-Time Labourer/Driver role will meet the following minimum requirements:
Valid Driver’s license and clean Drivers abstract required
Excellent customer service skills
Knowledge of locale and surrounding areas
Must be able to pass background check.
First Aid Certificate an asset
Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle and feel objects, tools, or controls; and stoop, crawl, kneel, or crouch.
Occasionally required to climb steps and balance.
Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada at the location(s) specified above and, where applicable, must have a valid work permit or study permit that allows the candidate to fulfill the requirements of the role
