The last decade has seen exponential growth in social responsibility issues and activities, corroborated by the fact that half of the Fortune 10001 companies issued sustainability reports and a prominent number of firms pursued serious endeavours to incorporate social responsibility guidelines into all their businesses. There has been a prolonged debate about the authenticity and esteem of corporate responses to CSP concerns due to increased awareness among shareholders, analysts, regulators, activists, labour unions, employees, community organisations and news media.
