The rotameter is an instrument to determine the flow of fluids, e.g. liquids or gases in pipes. The rotameter of the VS series operates on the principle of the body in suspension. In the rotameter's conical plastic test tube there is a body in suspension that is lifted by the inertia of the fluid itself. How high the body in suspension reaches depends on the flow rotameter. If you increase the flow, the flow resistance increases. The suspension of the rotameter body rises and increases the body surface between the suspension and the glass tube. This decreases the flow resistance until it is identical with the sum of the strength of the suspended body weight and buoyancy. The level serves as a measure for the flow and can be read on a scale on the rotameter. Therefore, the rotameter is available in different versions. The rotameter is sent by default with a scale in l / h for water or Nm ³ / h for air. The reading of the flow is facilitated by two adjustable set-point indicators integrated into the rotameter.
