As desired, please see attached rev drawing incorporating the comments listed below. Kindly send us your final approval to proceed further with manufacturing..
Note : There is a price impact of US $ 100 due to the requirement of installing a tinned copper braid for grounding between door & body of the enclosure. We had earlier priced the enclosure considering the yellow-Green flexible wire.
Based on your earlier made comments and our review of the SAES-J-902 document, please see below our reply to justify in considering the installation of a copper wire (Yellow-Green):
1. Veolia Comment : For the earth wire (NO.10) : We need Braided ground strap not yellow/green wire
P+F Comment: We reviewed the clause 17.2 in SAES-J-902 and understand as :
(i) Clause 17.2.1 : For our offered item our scope is limited only compliance to following part of Clause 17.2.1 “all metal equipment and enclosures within a panel or series of panels (i.e., instrument cases, hinged doors, racks, etc.) shall be bonded with bonding jumpers and connected to a safety ground bus with a minimum copper wire size of 4 mm² cross-sectional area.”
Veolia to confirm that our understanding is correct.
2. Further, we understand the requirement of the ground conductors per SAES-P-104 as :
(i) This is a general document and most of the details are to be complied by the site contractor and not by us.
(ii) We have noted in Clause 6.10.3 that grounding conductor color should be green or green with yellow stripes. We confirm that we will provide green with yellow stripes internal grounding conductor.
(iii) We cannot make out from this document on what size of cable should be considered for our internal grounding in the enclosure so we will consider copper wire size of 4 mm² cross-sectional area as listed in SAES-J-902, Clause 17.2.1.
Veolia to confirm that our understanding is correct.
If the above is still not convincing in using a copper wire (yellow-Green), then we insist to have an amended PO incorporating the charges (US $ 100) for installing a “tinned copper braid”.
