Risk Tolerance
Risk Tolerance
Organizations and stakeholders are willing to accept varying degrees of
risk. This is called risk tolerance. Risks that are threats to the project may be
accepted if the risks are within tolerances and are in balance with the rewards
that may be gained by taking the risks [PMI 2008, p.276].
These risks (within tolerances) are often ignored or included under the just
"be-careful" category of project teams [Chinbat & Takakuwa 2009, p.2623]
