The feed pumps can operate merely under regulated design parameter, design data and performance test curve. The feed water cannot operate under the circumstance of less than minimum flow, for this reason, insufficient flow will give rise to overheating of the water pump and great reduction on service life of the water pump. Dry rotation is not allowed in operation of the feed pump, or the device will be damaged. Operation of the feed pump is not allowed in case of the NPSH less than that regulated in the design data, or the device may suffer damage with possibility of cavitation particularly. Superfluous air or gases shall not be contained in feed water transmitted by the feed pump. Superfluous air or gases existed in fluid will result in decline of flow and head as well as in failure of precision measurement so as to make the device suffer superfluous abrasion or damage.
