I am not an eloquent reviewer first of all, so forgive the simplicity of this review.
This book has convinced me that there is nothing wrong with intellectual elitism.
Somehow, as Manny said, the Game in this book is a sort of branch of logic in itself that involves a synthesis of music, mathematics, and cultural history, yet its nature remains an elusive mystery.
But, moreover, I credit this book with changing my view of history as an academic subject. In our schools, we are taught history as a constant cycle of conquest, wars, and peace, focusing more on the politics and military side of things.
