Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Techniques 3.3.1 Check lists Checklists are simple form of hazard identificationmethods. They provide a listing of typical hazards which need to be considered in the process based on the previously developed lists, codes, or standards. Using of checklists is suitable for situation where the level of uncertainty is low and the process is not too complex. Checklists can use at any stage of project life cycle. They also can be used as part of other hazard and risk assessment techniques to check that everything has been covered (Sutton, 2010; IEC, 2008).
