uses of habits of mind is a report from Mid-continent Regional Educational
Laboratory (McREL). tv the report, Fisher & Epperson (1991) described the
first year findings of an eighteen-district Colorado Consortium research
project. The overall goal of the project was to improve instruction of
thinking skills in primary and secondary schools through research-based staff
development. The model of thinking used was Marzano's Dimensions of
Learning (Fisher & Epperson, 1991). The Consortium was jointly sponsored
