The argument was that, firms should not throw money just for the good sake of the society in fact firm should also be benefitted by it. Similarly, Drucker (2001) mentioned that unrelated CSR activities of firms could be ineffective and inefficient. Friedman (1970) called for a strategic base for pragmatic social initiatives and emphasised the lack of logical base for ethical CSR and found ethical CSR ambiguous (Bhattacharyya, 2008).
