an overview of some of the international treaties and recommendations governing the care of women in prison
women's health and human rights
some general characteristics of female prisoners
some somatic problems among women seeking the prison doctor's help or advice
psychological/psychiatric ailments and disorders, particularly PTSD
treatment and management of drug-related problems
women accompanied by small children, pre- and post-natal care
the prison environment - impact on women's health.
