Project Objective: To contribute to increased dietary diversity, improved food consumption and more reliable income for 600 vulnerable households, including women-headed households, in the hard-to-reach areas of Tal Hmis, Abu Rasin, and Ya’robiyah sub-districts in Hassakeh Governorate
Result 1: 600 women-headed and other vulnerable households have access to greater quality of diet/access to complementary foods

Main activities:
1. Partnership agreement with and orientation of local partner (Jomard Charity)
2. Coordinate with community stakeholders and establishing beneficiary committees for the identification of project beneficiaries (Village and Beneficiary selection Criteria are attached separately).
3. Conduct market assessment for cash transfer programming (CTP) feasibility.
4. Carry out baseline survey in target locations to identify current situation of selected beneficiaries.
5. Identify suppliers for the procurement of all livelihood inputs and ensure quality of all inputs.
6. Build capacities of beneficiaries on vegetable cultivation/kitchen gardens, dairy production and livestock management with promotion of key nutrition and hygiene messages
7. Identify 9 community-based para-veterinarians (3 per area) based on agreed criteria and train them to monitor livestock and provide basic livestock health care to beneficiaries and others in the community.
8. Distribute livelihood inputs (in-kind and/or equivalent CTP modality)
9. Monitor vegetable cultivation, livestock care and management, dairy production including sale of milk and dairy products
10. Evaluate project results and impact
