Sulaiman5th March 2019, We back again to hospital after one week it was for a seminar in college, and my desirable goal is identifying ways of communication which are used in hospital and department in specific.Firstly, when I arrived surgical unit (53), Ms. Priscillia greeted us, informed us that she is busy, and cannot meet us, she will admit in hospital next week and have to finish all her work and endorse it to someone else.Ms. Priscillia told that by nice way and repeated her apology and by sure we appreciated that and suggest to stay to read some policies and as I set a goal in the beginning, I prefer to stay in nursing station to assess the communication way between nurses.I read enough number of policies, procedures form about nursing care delivery model, verbal, and nonverbal communication, I found clearly effective communication between staff while receiving and giving orders, respectful verbal and nonverbal communication. All staff who in same level communicates as lateral communication, in all departments such as two staff from same or different unit, while whom in different level in hierarchy communicate as Diagonal communication for example when a head nurse wants to communicate with supervisor. All must follow organization chart as guider if they have to report any incident or communicate with managers for any reason.(E- Mail) is the most communication channels using to announce any news, meeting conference and all updates. I attracted to how the head nurse doing round every day, greeting, and talking with her staff by the effective way before she being in her office, which correspond with MBWA (management by walking around).In addition, she has effective listening skills, where a one staff nurse had problem that day, she left her paperwork to be attentive to her even she is busy.Finally, According to the study of “Communication in the Relationship between Leaders and Lead in the Context of Nursing “they conclude that: “communication is characterized as one of the main strategies of success in the interpersonal relationship in the Nursing team, being fundamental for the development of the work “ (Vasconcelos, et al., 2017) Appendix
