It’s not often that we see a product rated 99 or 100 by Viewpoints Reviewers. When we see this high score, we know it’s really something special. In this case, Studio 35 Beauty Alpha Hydroxy Face Cream is not only the highest rated anti-aging skin cream, it’s also one of the cheapest—what a steal!

Studio 35 is the house brand of Walgreens, so you should be able to find the cream at your local Walgreens or online. The product used to be sold under the Walgreens name.

According to WebMD, alpha hydroxy acids work by removing the top layers of dead skin cells. The anti-aging power comes into play by revealing new, fresh skin. They can also increase the thickness of deeper layers of skin, promoting firmness.

You can get stronger alpha hydroxy creams from your dermatologist, but over the counter lotions and creams are limited to a lower percentage of alpha hydroxyl acids. The Studio 35 Beauty Alpha Hydroxy Face Cream has one of the highest percentages of AHA you can find at the drugstore— 8 percent of glycolic acid.

For comparison, designer brand Peter Thomas Roth Clinical Skin Care has 10 percent glycolic acid, and sells for $45 for a container HALF the size of the Studio 35 cream.

“Wow! That’s my first response to the results of using Walgreens Alpha Hydroxy face cream every night, for less than a week. This stuff is silky, thin yet creamy, and lightweight. A tiny dab on your hand, then rubbed and massaged onto your facial skin, and poof!-you’re done. I noticed several wonderful side effects from using this alpha hydroxy cream nightly. The first is that my skin has an overall glow, that i was completely lacking before. The second is the more even skin tone. I suffer from bouts of redness, acne scars, uneven skin tone, and overall blahness, but this is really fixing everything right up. There is a very visible difference in the eveness of my skin tone. Though I’m only 21 and don’t particularly feel the need for anti-aging products yet, I figured it couldn’t hurt to get started early. I also had read somewhere that it helped with acne, especially little colorless bumps trapped under your skin, and I figured my skin could definitely use the help, what with its turbulent random breakouts and etc. Within a few days I started to see my skin clear up, as well as old acne scars start to fade.
