Context and Background
International Medical Corps is implementing a Health, Nutrition and WASH program in Yemen.
Primary Responsibilities of this position
To support IMC – Yemen program to improve the quality of health services provided for the reugees through physical examination, case assessment and treatment, and provide detailed history for cases required comprehensive intervention to be discussed through medical committee.
Specific Duties
Clinical examination of all patients with signs of complicated pathologies or presenting complication or referrals from the health facility physician.
Prescribe routine and basic treatments according the protocol used in respecting the drug dosage based on the weight of the patient
Follow-up of the referral cases and raise daily updates.
Ability to prescribe proper medications using common guidelines.
Report data requested by M&E department.
Compile the daily and weekly data and share with IMC on weekly basis.
Work in collaboration with the health facility medical staff to ensure quality medical care provision.
Work as a member of the team, taking in consideration the non medical problems encountered by the patients (provide advices to patients regarding their health condition)
Complete and properly fill the individual card with the medical information.
Possible request to see emergency cases outside working hours.
Attend weekly meeting with the medical committee to discuss his/her case about prognosis, urgency and possible intervention required.
Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
