Best Practices/Lessons Learned:
• Since the grantee was afraid of the shelling and they had previous experience with this type of situation, the grantee asked SRP to remove the social media links as part of deliverables. For another previous activity the grantee shared details on social media and the regime shelled the areas identified in social media as the places where the activity was taking place. Therefore, the grantee did not want to advertise on social media. For future activities, the inclusion of social media links should be optional if the activity takes places in a heavy-shelling region.
• According to the milestone-6 report, when the first milestone of the activity was completed, many institutions communicated with Sham Center and many local councils asked Sham Center to cooperate with them for similar activities. Besides, according to the FPA 5th site visit report, there were requests from supervisors to hold sessions in other areas. This shows that thisactivityreceived substantial attention from the public and other local councils and filled an important gap regarding women’s role in the besieged area. The grantee also recommended to expand this activity into larger areas to reach more people.
