Coping Health Inventory for Parents
The CHIP (McCubbin et al., 1981) measured participants’ reports of their coping behaviors using 45 items arranged in three subscales. The subscalesinclude
a) Coping Pattern I: Family Integration, Cooperation, and an Optimistic Definition of the Situation;
(b) Coping Pattern II: Maintaining Social Support, Self Esteem and Psychological Stability; and
