Clinical History :
49 years old breast cancer to rule out pulmonary embolism

Enhanced CT of the chest utilizing PE protocol

Findings:
The pulmonary trunk , right and left pulmonary artery , both lobar , segmental and subsegmental arteries show no filling defect .
No suspicious mediastinal or hilar lymph nodes. The major mediastinal vascular structures, heart and pericardium are within normal. The patient is status post left-sided mastectomy with stable postoperative changes. The right breast and axilla are within normal.
Stable tiny pulmonary nodule in the right lower lobe seen in series #301, image #57 and #60 . Stable areas of fibroatelectasis in the right middle and lower lobes . Fibroatelectatic band in the right lower lobe. There is another tiny nodule seen in the left upper lobe series #301 image #48 . No other pulmonary nodules could be identified. No pleural effusion or pneumothorax.
Patchy sclerotic lesion along the thoracic spine suggestive of metastasis .
Impression :
No acute major pulmonary embolism .
Multiple stable non specific pulmonary nodules .
