•Lexical creation:Lexical creation is the coining of new lexical items in the target language to stand for the source language culture-specific elements. This newly created lexical item should be culturally 'empty' and ready to receive and convey the intended content of the source culture element (Ivir,1987).For example "أخ بالرضاعة" (literally: a brother through breastfeeding) cannot be translated as “foster brother” because it is not culturally empty and does not convey the ‘intended meaning’. However, creating the lexical compound “milk brother” to convey the meaning would be a good choice. Another example is “tap dance” which has been translated as "رقص ايقاعي" (literally: rhythmic dancing). •Footnote:The use of footnote is necessitated by the amount of information that needs to be clarified. The nature of the text sometimes precludes the use of definition within the text as it could violate pragmatic coherence.
