Swarm intelligence is artificial intelligence based on the collective behavior of decentralized, self-organized systems. SI The swarm intelligence algorithms inspired by animal behaviour in nature such as ants finding shortest path in finding food; a flock of birds flies or a school of fish swims in unison, changing directions in an instant without colliding with each other has been successfully applied to optimization, robotics and military applications. [1].SI is continuously incorporating new ideas, algorithms and principles from the engineering and basic science communities. The power of a swarm comes from the collaboration of decentralized primitive entities, where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Flocking in birds is a mechanism which inspired Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) [Kennedy and Eberhart, 1995]. Bee colony optimisation algorithms (BCO) [Teodorovic et al., 2006] [Teodorovi´ c and Dell’Orco, 2005], and ant colony optimisation algorithms (ACO) [Dorigo, 1992], are inspired by the foraging behaviour of honey bees and ant colonies respectively.
