In addition to promoting your 500px profile via social media, I have observed that views you get are based on few other factors as listed below -As you know, if first few views get likes/favourites(because there is something good in the picture) goes above a certified threshold, picture is marked as "fresh" and available to view in a new page where most of us visit to see new pictures. Here as soon your picture moves to the second page, views start dropping-Choosing your upload time can have a big impact to who views your picture, a.k.a "choose your primary audience". As 500px is a globally popular website, based on time you upload, majority of users will be from a certain geography.Eg:-between 8 to 12 AM IST number of Indian users will be high(might not be right but basing it on internet usage) So uploading a picture with a composition or subject that appeals to the mass audience will be well received.-Never upload multiple pictures together. When scrolling through a user profile I have subscribed to, I don't go see every single pic he/she posted. So posting one at a time, enables subscribed users to have a thought process that you upload pictures and they know when/how/what to look for; a.k.a "creating a user base" or making your profile updations predictable.-When sharing through social media, eg:-Facebook, use the image editing software (eg:-Lightroom) to post to 500px directly. This creates a link and shows the picture preview in Facebook and will drive more users to your 500px profile instead of getting a 'like" on Facebook.-Subscribe to other users who have similar photographic interests. If you like portraits and subscribe to someone who likes macros, you might not be motivated enough to go through other user profile regularly
