Job Purpose:
Supports housekeeping department by providing clerical services; recording meeting minutes; maintaining organization-wide employee locker security; securing other employee information; handling maintenance issues.
Duties:
* Provides clerical services by answering telephone; directing inquiries; routing personnel to trouble areas; preparing correspondence; maintaining records.
* Maintains housekeeping personnel information by completing time and wage computations; recording absenteeism, vacation and sick time; preparing statistical reports for management.
* Maintains communication within housekeeping department by recording and distributing minutes of employee meetings; posting bulletin board announcements; opening, sorting, and distributing incoming mail; receiving requisitions and distributing supplies.
* Keeps housekeeping personnel safe by maintaining administrative manuals; updating procedure manuals, department, safety, and disaster preparedness manuals; complying with legal regulations.
* Schedules housekeeping personnel by arranging work schedules to maintain work objectives; adjusting schedules for unanticipated work outcomes
* Maintains housekeeping department meeting minutes by recording attendees; recording outcomes.
* Maintains organization-wide employee locker security by issuing lockers; protecting access codes; responding to security breaches.
* Controls pests by monitoring pest control contract; processing complaints; identifying areas needing additional services; arranging service; monitoring results.
* Re-upholsterers furniture by receiving re-upholstering requests; contacting and engaging upholsterers; billing and submitting special purchase orders to purchasing department; processing work-order completion.
* Accomplishes department and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
