Conclusion
In this chapter literature on Corporate Social and Financial Performance with other related issues, has been reviewed. Whatever accessible literature on social responsibility does exist can be grouped into three broad categories. The first category of academic research focusses on all financial issues exhibiting the relationship between CSP with different CFP measures of a firm. The second category takes into account evidence on the relationship of CSP within the context of competitiveness and related issues such brand value, risk, stakeholder strength, reputation building, SRI etc., and the third category grouped all the general CSR studies as well as rest of miscellaneous subjects such as maximising shareholders’ wealth, economics of CSR, Indian CSR – practice and perception, etc.
