The study was based on 515 records of Murrahbuffaloes. Only the existing animals in different paritiesand different stage of lactation throughout 2004-08years were taken. Milk yield of the animals withabnormal lactation due to abortions, mortality, sale ofanimals etc. were included only if the buffaloes producemilk for minimum of 150 days. Those animals whichare not completed 150 days of lactation were notincluded in the analysis so actual records were 479.The data were grouped according to periods (years),seasons and parity to quantify their effects on milkproduction. Year was grouped as from 2004 to 2008and seasons were grouped according to summer(March – June), rainy (July – October) and winter(November – February).The seasons were classified on the basis ofenvironmental conditions over a period of 5 years.
