An Open Invitation Calling Facebook to Repent
This is an open letter inviting the evil innovator Da'ee known as Facebook to repent. This warning is being issued with the discretion of 'Allaamah Wikipedia and Mufti Google.
The evil innovator Facebook -May Allah guide him or break his back- has been seen hanging around with the likes of the evil instagram and the morally bankrupt pintrest, as well as the likes of other than them. Instagram poses pictures of peoples sins and worthless lives, while pinterest busies himself with women's clothes, shoes, and food. A man is clearly on the ways of his friend and this has exposed who Facebook really is! A wolf in sheep's clothing!
Facebook attempts to adorn himself with knowledge and beneficial reminders but in reality he stems nothing but discord and argumentation amongst the ummah! Making people feel as if they are actually worthy of having an opinion on deep and intrinsic matters. Planting seeds of debate and argumentation in the ranks of ahl sunnah! Spewing hatred at the true noble scholars like 'Allamah Wikipedia and Mufti Google.
This is an invitation to repent or we shall expose you in 300 page pdf files with at least 50% of it being footnotes!
Now on a serious note:
My dear brothers and sister the above is my attempt at some really bad humor. I know some of you enjoyed it and can relate to what I'm referring to. The message I want to convey to all of you is to not use Facebook as a source of knowledge. Rather seek knowledge where it should be sought in lectures, seminars, articles, and books written by people of knowledge. It is becoming really trendy to take a social networking service and try to attempt to make it a platform for serious education. It just cannot work, this is not what this platform is for. Use it for a social experience within religious guidelines, and not the opposite. One last thing I will conclude with is to be conscience of Allah in all of our affairs, those online and offline, and to always give our brothers and sisters the benefit of the doubt. They may have erred today but we could be the ones in error tomorrow. Let us treat the way we would like to be treated.
I pray Allah guides us all to what is best and forgives us for our shortcomings. Ameen.
