Thanks for joining us on Understanding IELTS: Techniques for English Language Tests. Your course has already begun, but you can still catch up!
Each week there are a number of activities that are broken into steps. A step could be a video, an article, a quiz or a discussion. The steps are designed to be completed in order, but you can jump around if you wish.
The idea is that we all learn together and so you should focus your efforts on the current week's activities - the current week is always highlighted in pink. You can also take a look ahead to see what's coming next and if you don't manage to complete all the steps in a week, you are always able to catch up. You can learn at your own pace but we expect the conversation to be happening around the current week's activities.
If you haven't already done so, you should finish completing your profile page (http://www.futurelearn.com/profiles/1533681), so that you're ready to join the conversation. If you want to see what your fellow learners are talking about, click on the activity link in the left hand menu.
If you have a few moments, we have a short survey we'd like you to complete:

This will help us to learn a little bit more about you and your motivations for taking this course.
So let's get going with Introduction to IELTS (http://www.futurelearn.com/courses/understanding-ielts/todo/2001).
See you there,
