Sunday 10th January 2015
Dear All,
First of all, I want to thank those of you who contributed to a great week during my last visit. I know that it sometimes can be a lot, especially when I call you in on a holiday so thank you all.
Secondly, for all of you who took an extra day (Thursday) of holiday last week, I hope you enjoyed a long weekend and feel rested to come back full of energy.
I am happy to report that the google calendar is up and running. I ask everyone who has been assigned a google account and been asked to fill it in to actually do so. If you do not fill it in, we can only conclude that you are not busy. The use of this tool and our feedback will be given every week starting next chairman note.
This week was also the start of the cutting line repair / improvement in Abasa. Company Schindler is at Abasa plant to improve the cutting line.
In Egypt Lime, we are cooling down the kiln for the repair work of the refractory. During this time, DSB will buy its lime for external sources and we ask the production management and quality management to extra careful in analysing the lime you receive and if it’s bad to please send it back.
The GPS company monitoring the cars went into bankruptcy so Rami has to make some small changes but we are soon back with the GPS system.
Our sales last week was 1,688m3 compared to budget of 2,588m3 leaving us with a 900m3 sales deficit for the week and 1,071m3 cumulative.
Our production is closed due to some unfortunate circumstances beyond the production people’s ability to control.
Organisation:
Mr Samir Mahan, Factory Manager ELI, left his position last week and I ask you all to welcome back Mr Mahmoud Hanafy to his former role.
Starting from Monday 19th January, either myself and/or someone from London will be in Cairo every week to ensure you get full support to develop you, the whole organisation and the company
I now wish you the very best for a successful week ahead. Do not forget, we in London are contactable 24/7 if you have questions and/or issues you would like to discuss.
Mattias Sjoborg
Dina: Please translate this note to Egyptian.
