The concept of specific business ethics can be traced back to certain academics and businessmen in the nineteenth century who promulgated the belief that “private business is a public trust” (Epstein, 1987). Traditionally, most of the corporate world considers CSR as an additional financial input for such responsible cause. However, at present it is accepted that CSR is not merely about charity and philanthropic activity, but it is the responsibility of a company and thus, it should be an integral part of the business exercise.
