Position Description
Saudi Aramco seeks an experienced Chemistry Teacher. Incumbent will be responsible for: Teach all CPP Chemistry courses with a teaching load of four hours per day; twenty periods per week, as well as a daily office hour. Development and implementation of teaching notes, periodic review of courses, and assisting in the production of internal assessment material. Assisting in the proctoring and grading of the internal and external examinations. Reporting of attendance and test scores. Conducting Chemistry lab activities and review and updating of practical investigations. Minimum Requirements
B.Sc. degree in Chemistry, M.Sc. degree in Chemistry is desirable. five years of teaching experience in teaching Chemistry at college level. (Experience in teaching AP Chemistry, A-Level Chemistry, or IB Chemistry is preferred). The candidate should have recent Chemistry teaching experience and /or certification. Duties & Responsibilities
Performs all duties of an Advanced ITC Teacher. Provides detailed information and instructional assistance in specific areas of ITC curriculum to a group of ITC teachers. Participates in recommending improvements to the curriculum and its implementation and evaluation. Conducts classroom observations to provide guidance and formative feedback to ITC teachers and to recommend improvements to ITC Principal/Assistant Principal. Holds subject/level meetings to discuss problem areas and corrective measures. Monitors instructional approaches to assure utilization of Training policies and adherence to administrative regulations. Prepares and provides in-service training workshops for teachers. Coordinates quiz/test writing and supplementary teaching material development for specific subject/levels. Serves on curriculum/test improvement committees, as needed. Performs miscellaneous duties as directed by the ITC Principal and/or Asst. Principal. Helps trainees to identify themselves with the Company's values; counsels and provides guidance to develop positive value systems. Continues to cultivate professional competencies by keeping teachers informed of new technology, teaching methodology and techniques especially computer applications,presentations, posters and teaching aids development. Orients new teachers to carry out their assigned tasks. Participates in the recertification process of new teachers. Helps teachers incorporate web and other supplementary material into the course contents.
